About Ideella Sverige
Volunteering and civic engagement are cornerstones of democracy and vital forces in our society. When people are given the opportunity to get involved, they help create participation, trust, and community. At the same time, organisations that want to promote volunteering and civic engagement are facing a growing number of obstacles. These may relate to regulations, funding, skills supply, or a lack of long-term structures for volunteer coordination.
Our Mission
Ideella Sverige’s mission is to highlight these obstacles, contribute to solutions, and strengthen the conditions for volunteering and civic engagement. We do this through policy and advocacy work, as well as by developing tools, support, and knowledge-building initiatives. We work broadly across civil society and the non-profit sector, the public sector, and the business sector, because we are convinced that collaboration across sector boundaries creates stronger and more sustainable solutions.
Ideella Sverige runs Volontärbyrån and Ideella jobb, and is the host organisation for NOD.
Our vision is a society where everyone has the opportunity and the willingness to volunteer and get involved, and where a strong civil society and non-profit sector is a natural part of democracy.
